NAO people are aspiring polymaths

NAO is an agency of aspiring polymaths. We are creative strategists and strategic creatives, curious analysts, playful developers and constructive nonconformists.

Junanto shapes the creative and tech pulse of NAO. With a mind wired for purpose, playfulness, and just the right amount of weird, he explores how AI, design, and systems thinking can turn abstract ideas into practical experiences, tools, and provocations.

At NAO, Jun leads the AI exploration for projects such as AI Opener for Destinations and Moving Destinations, making sure complex tech feels accessible and playful, even for non-techies. Tourism-trained by degree, he works with destinations on creative and strategic projects - from brand development and research to concept creation and strategy. His recent work includes the Greenland Brand Manual Refresh, Luxembourg’s Sustainability Journey, and the Dublin Coast Destination and Experience Development Plan. He’s also the creative mind behind the “Let Pigs Fly” conference visuals in Bruges and Prompto, the official mascot for Moving Destinations.

Before NAO, Junanto worked with the Global Destination Sustainability Movement (Europe) and TripCanvas (Southeast Asia). He holds a Master’s in Sustainable Tourism from the European Master in Tourism Management (EMTM) programme and a Professional Certificate in Sustainable Tourism from the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC). Stella is a Junior Advisor and NAO’s student power, always ready to take on a new puzzle. Her work sits at the intersection of research, communication, and analysis, where she combines curiosity with structure and a strong eye for detail. Whether exploring complex information or shaping insights into clear narratives, Stella supports NAO’s work across research, strategy-centered projects, and thought leadership, always with an analytical mindset and a creative twist.

At Group NAO, Stella conducted a first-of-its-kind comprehensive mapping of the European destination association landscape. Compiling and analysing more than 800 unique data points, she combined in-depth desk research with statistical analysis to build an up-to-date, evidence-based overview of the European destination ecosystem. Across projects, she draws on this same mix of rigour and imagination to explore emerging themes, connect dots across diverse topics, and help move NAO’s work forward.

Before joining NAO, Stella studied abroad at Cornell University (US), where she worked on research of socioeconomic inequality, and managed social media for an up-and-coming sustainable fashion label. After completing her bachelor’s in International Business at Copenhagen Business School (DK), she now studies Political Economy of Development at Sciences Po (FR) and the London School of Economics and Political Science (UK).

Outside the office, you’ll most likely find Stella writing light-hearted short stories or crafting funky handmade earrings – of which, she will excitedly assure you, there can never be too many.
